Summary 

The new coronavirus (COVID-19) has become one of the most serious challenges in the modern world. It has already had a serious impact on the socio-economic situation of the population. Millions of lost jobs, increased poverty, certain types of barriers to accessing medical services, closed schools, stalled economy, and so on. Is an incomplete list brought about by the pandemic, which places a heavy burden on any country, especially countries in transition economies, including Georgia. The impact of the pandemic on the world economy, of which the Georgian economy should be a part, depends on the rate of its spread. At the same time, it is important to know when the new vaccine will be created and the government's desire to restore the pandemic-affected economy quickly and effectively. This article analyzes the individual sectors of the Georgian economy affected by the pandemic, outlines the ways to solve them and develops certain types of recommendations.
